Praeluceo Printers was established in 1992 as a small writing and printing company for PB, YA and inspirational literature. In Latin, praeluceo means “the one who carries the light forth,” and in 1992, the company published under the name Lamplighter Publishers. In 1998, the name changed, and Praeluceo Printers acquired The Costume Cutter to address a desire to grow the visual representation of children’s literature. In 2010, Praeluceo Printers established PBSWED, an imprint committed to creating, consulting and resourcing educational material for the secondary and graduate English classroom.

In 2013, Praeluceo Printers established Bright Lights, an imprint committed to creating and publishing Christian young adult books and picture books. Bright Lights publishes fiction, non-fiction, and  poetry. Please see our guidelines for submissions.
